WHAT IS IT?
The Amazing Race of Highland County is a 2-person team running (or run/walk) event. It is a cross-country race, approximately 7-8 km long, but along the race route will be 20 roadblocks, or challenges. Each team must complete a task or challenge before continuing. These roadblocks are designed to test, and reward (or penalize) your memory, quick thinking, sporting and/or gaming skills. Click on "Team Info" for more details.
We will have food and drinks at the party after the race!
You will likely get a little wet! You will definitely have fun!!
This year, the event will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2017. Start times will be staggered, beginning at 10:00 am. Teams will be sent off at one-minute intervals. Check back for your start times after you sign up! We will update every couple of weeks.
The race will begin and end in Liberty Park, Hillsboro, Ohio. Liberty Park is beside the Highland County Family YMCA, 201 Diamond Drive, Hillsboro, Ohio, 45133.
The Amazing Race of Highland County is a non-profit organization which was formed to help support the organizations, charities, churches and sports teams of Highland County. Click on the link "Non-profits" to find out more. 100% of the profits from the race will be donated to worthy and needy causes!
The race fee is $100 per team of 2 when registering online. Registration fee will increase to $110 per team after June 30, 2017 ... then will increase to $120 per team after July 31, 2017.
Your fee includes an awesome race shirt to be worn during the race.

There will be awards given for the top 3 finishers in six divisions: Male-Male, Male-Female, Female-Female, Parent-Child ... child must be 17 years of age or less on race day, Senior ... combined team age 95 or greater and Battle of the Businesses ... if your business is a race sponsor!!
All participants must be at least 12 years of age on race day.
